Hmm...seems to be in order. $1000.00 for a decent game box. I would add another gig of ram..but thats me. Decent processor...could be a bit faster...but then again you have a 2meg Level2 cache...that is a good thing.
Great Vid Card of course. Solid hard drive. Good power.
I am sure someone will come along and say you can do better...or this and that...but go with your gut. You can tweak and play around for only so long. I would purchase it. And start having some F U N!
EDIT: Save up your cash....Dell has Deals on that 2405FPW 24" WideScreen monitor. I saw it for around $700-800 not too long ago. It is a sweet LCD with a 12ms response time. I got the Dell 2001FP 20.1" LCD with a 16ms response time. I haven't seen any blur at all. I am real happy with it. Guild Wars looks fantastic....but the one that my buddy got...the 24" Dell WideScreen it looks just a bit better with the 16:9 aspec ratio.

Not a bad deal at all, make a great gamming rig.
I would see if I could upgrade the sound to an Audigy 2 ZS min or the newer Augidy x-fi series but that could be done latter.
*** Careful of the 1Gbit Marvell Ethernet, in these forums certain drivers would cause GW got go nuts. But it works fine with the correct driver.

I Personally dont like GeForce or Intel - So im not going to comment because it would be a total flame.. (Plus AMD and ATI Are a little cheaper)

I would stick with AMD and Nvidia Geforce myself but for $1000 that is not a bad system. Will not turn this in to a flame war either.

Well nvidia offers the best right now. 7800gt is pretty good (they oc incredibly). Many games are very processor heavy, yours isn't bad, but again for gaming amd. 1gig of ram is enough for now. in many cases 2gig slows the performance down, or has no improvement over 1gig. If you are lookin for a slight increase in performance, better ram would help but not a big deal for non oc. Not bad though =)

i could get the same thing with a
AMD Athlon 64 3200+ CPU w/Fan
with this motherboard:
ASUS A8N-SLI Premium
for also 1000$
i dont need more then 1g, i can always expand later, and now theres just no point. Im not doing heavy video editing or the sort.
mainly i want to know if im getting a steal, or is there better out there.(where)
Yes ive heard of the 24" for 749$, i just got one. and the 20.1" also for that matter.
You need a special offer code to get the price that low.

The reason why I like to have more Ram is because I can have many windows/programs open at the same time. I can then just ALT-TAB between different programs and have no pause. I have noticed a big difference between having 2GB over 1GB or Ram when playing Guild Wars. The game is allot snappier with the extra Ram.
Ram is cheap compared to what we had to endure just a few years ago. It is still the cheapest and most efficent way to upgrade your system. It will cure allot of problems.

Ohh..Really? hmm...then what have I been doing with my Intel chipset? Balancing my checkbook? Give it a rest on the AMD fanboy rap. It is so childish! And simply old.

go with the a64 3200+, it will give more power to the 7800gt, and if youre overclocking make sure to get a venice or better save some cash and go 3000+ venice and oc it to at least 2.4, i would get the 630 only for multitasking, but overall the 3200+ is better

May I ask wher you are buying this from? I am interested in a good gaming computer, and that one seems to be great, so is it from a website or what? And if it is a site like ibuypower.com or something, it might not be reliabel, just putting that out here.
